Turning In – Plan for Tomorrow
Hi readers – I’ve got a big stack of documents and memos and will flesh out my summary tomorrow as I can dive in to the details further. Hoping to continue updating from mid-morning onward.
What a truly historic day! There’s going to be a lot of work ahead, but people who have worked on these issues for years – decades in many cases – can know that they made major progress for people truly in need.
And America’s economy is going to benefit enormously as well. The skilled worker fixes have so far been underplayed, but will have a genuine impact on our long term economic growth. Add to that all of the new legally employed workers and we can see our deficit dropping and our economy speeding up.
A good day for immigrants. A better day for America.

Hi,
Is there anything to make EB3 ‘current’ in it? I am an Indian live in UK; My PD is Nov 2006 (EB3). Will I be current soon? Thanks
Hi Ben – No, unfortunately not yet. There is a hint that more changes may be coming that might impact backlogs. But Indians would presumably benefit from a pre-registration provision that would allow you to work in the US legally on a work card while waiting on your EB-3 to become current.
Is the deferred action for parents only available to non-deported persons, or is there room to apply for a waiver?
